Karl Storz was founded in Tuttlingen, Germany in 1945 and remains 100 percent family-owned, led in the third generation by Karl-Christian Storz. With more than 7,000 products and over 70 subsidiaries in more than 50 countries, it is one of the world's leading manufacturers of endoscopes and devices for minimally invasive surgery, from the HOPKINS rod lens system introduced in 1965 to today's digital platforms.
The portfolio covers virtually every surgical specialty: urology, gynecology, ENT, gastroenterology, arthroscopy, bronchoscopy, thoracic surgery, neurosurgery, spine, pediatric surgery and airway management. Visualization runs on the modular IMAGE1 S camera platform, scaling from FULL HD to 4K, 2D to 3D and white light to NIR/ICG fluorescence with Rubina. The OR1 integration family, launched in 1998, provides central device control, video routing and AIDA documentation. Karl Storz is also the only major endoscopy manufacturer with a division dedicated to veterinary medicine, covering small animals, large animals, birds and exotic species.
We are the oldest Karl Storz distributor in the region, recognized as Outstanding Distributor for Sub-Saharan Africa in 2023. We supply, install and service the full range across Mauritius, Seychelles and Madagascar, from single clinic scopes to complete integrated theatres.
